The people behind Wiberg's

Johannes Wiberg Härri
The one who knows this land by heart
Director of Operations, Land Management and Community Engagement
Johannes manages the daily and long-term operations of the farm. His focus is translating our regenerative vision into practical reality on the ground: the health of the ecosystem, the welfare of the animals, and the safety and efficiency of everything that happens at Ali-Härri.
Land and operations
Johannes oversees the daily operations as well as maintains the pastures, fences, roads, and water infrastructure. Because of his previous experience, he also leads seasonal preparedness and emergency response planning.
Infrastructure
He maintains all farm machinery, vehicles, and buildings, as well as manages inventory of necessary supplies for daily operations at the farm.
Compliance
He ensures the farm meets all agricultural, environmental, animal welfare, and financial regulations. He maintains official records for animal movements, certifications, and food safety, and manages the farm's risk register and biosecurity protocols.
Community and customers
Johannes is the primary contact for direct customer service and local community relations. He manages our roadside kiosk and wholesale accounts.
Before the farm
Johannes grew up at Ali-Härri. He knows this land and its seasons from childhood. But becoming a farmer was not a straight line. After a student exchange in Sweden, he stayed for over a decade, working in municipal and regional government.
In that work, he managed elections and led emergency preparedness planning. Those are roles built on compliance frameworks, public administration, detailed record-keeping, and community coordination. The same skills now run the operational side of Wiberg's.
Johannes combines a lifetime of connection to this specific piece of land with institutional experience in compliance and public service. He is the person who keeps the farm running safely, legally, and in relationship with our neighbours and customers.

Steven Curtis
The one who sees the inter-related system
Director of Strategy, Sales and Business Development
Steven leads the farm's long-term business vision, strategic planning, and the development of new enterprises and markets. His focus is building the systems, partnerships, and financial models that will make Wiberg's viable and resilient into the future.
Strategy and governance
Steven develops annual and multi-year strategic goals, the enterprise portfolio, and success metrics. He manages digital systems, data governance, and operational efficiency, as well as leads grant applications, proposals, and investor relations.
Sales and marketing
He develops the business plans, revenue streams, and pricing for all farm products. He leads the brand narrative, content creation, and social media. He builds the farm's product traceability systems.
Team leadership and R&D
Steven manages weekly work planning and task scheduling. He identifies and schedules professional development and skills training. He leads on-farm research, development, and trials, as well as manages the hiring and onboarding of future team members and contractors.
Before the farm
Steven grew up outdoors in the Western United States and studied meteorology at Penn State. In 2013, he moved to Sweden to study at Lund University, where he completed a Master's in Environmental Management and Policy and a PhD in sustainable business models.
At Lund, he taught courses in sustainability and research methods, co-hosted the research podcast "Advancing Sustainable Solutions," and worked as a pedagogical developer helping university educators improve their teaching.
Steven brings research rigour to farm planning, communication skills to the brand, and entrepreneurial experience to the business model. He is the person who builds the strategy, tells the story, and keeps the farm moving toward its long-term vision.

Working together
We run this farm as equal partners with distinct responsibilities. But some things we share.
We set the farm's direction together: vision, values, and major investment decisions. We share daily care of the laying hens, splitting egg collection and flock management between us. We plan and host farm tours, workshops, and community events side by side. And we co-manage the farm's finances, with Johannes handling daily bookkeeping and Steven leading financial strategy and investor relations.
We're balancing the farm as business and life partners, learning and growing together.
Growing the team
Wiberg's is in its first production season. The farm is small today, but the vision is grand. We don't have open positions right now. But as we grow, we want to hear from people who see themselves in what we're building.
These are the areas we're building toward:
Market garden
Permaculture, vegetables, perennial edibles. We are building production systems for local food from the ground up.
Agroforestry
Silvopasture, silvoarable, hedgerows, riparian zone stabilisation, and productive forest margins. We're planning different agroforestry applications that are productive and profitable, while meeting the needs of the land.
Ruminants
Actively planning a herd of Eastern Finncattle (Kyyttö) for both meat and dairy production. Looking to introduce sheep and/or goats for managing margins and soil health. Planned grazing across diverse landscapes requires experience and careful observation.
Community
Events, education, farm tours, summer camps, school visits, local partnerships. Our farm will benefit from someone who knows how to foster community.
Maintenance
Immediate need for permanent field fencing. Buildings, machinery, infrastructure. Ali-Härri has a machine hall, grain dryer, silos, and a growing collection of equipment. Keeping it all running is essential work.
Research
Soil health, biodiversity monitoring, carbon measurement. With Steven's previous experience in academia, we believe in building partnerships with researchers to monitor ecological health, social resilience, and business potential.
We are also open to conversations with investors, advisors, and collaborators who share our values. If you see a role for yourself in what we are building, we would like to hear from you.
